Christmas & New Year in Les Coches
Christmas and New Year skiing is an unforgettable experience.
At Christmas time, there are lots of special events organised in Les Coches including carols, mulled wine evenings and usually a visit from “Père Noël”!
You’ll enjoy the decorations spread throughout the resort and the huge Christmas tree in the pedestrian centre will delight all.
On New Year’s Eve, a fun party on the piste follows a huge fireworks display.
At Ice and Fire we get into the festive spirit too!
Celebrations at Ice and Fire
Santa will be able to find you and drop some presents by the decorated tree in your chalet.
On Christmas day, after your day skiing or snowboarding, you’ll come back to the chalet to a themed afternoon tea of delicious mince pies.
In the evening, you’ll start celebrating with a champagne reception followed by a mouth-watering Christmas dinner. We begin with a delicious light starter followed by turkey and all the trimmings for main course. And, if you’ve still got room, we finish with a choice of traditional Christmas pudding or a lighter dessert.
Christmas Holidays Opening Hours
On Christmas day, skiing and everything else run as normal with the ski lifts, ski schools, shops, childcare services and mountain restaurants open as normal.
You’ll love the festive atmosphere in the air! All the resorts, including Les Coches itself are very welcoming.
The churches are open to visitors both for midnight mass and during Christmas day.
Christmas for Kids
Skiing with children at Christmas is really good fun – you’ll have plenty of time to spend with them on the day because there’s no cooking, preparing or washing up for you to do!
We do recommend that you bring the majority of the presents in your luggage as the shops in Les Coches are quite limited for present buying. There is a selection of ski gear and local produce available, as well as a supermarket for stocking up on sweets etc.
Sledges always go down well too as presents for adults and kids alike and we can book massages, ski lessons and activities on your behalf to use as Christmas presents.
