Dear guests, team members and suppliers,
Over the last few months we have been monitoring the situation with the Coronavirus, and the actions of the French and Uk governments to slow the spread of transmission throughout both countries.
We already have in place a number of internal control measures incluing deep cleaning and sanitising, handwashing etc which are the most effective methods for preventing the spread of the virus.
Following yesterdays government announcement we are now introducing a number of additional measures and we are asking for your co-operation in putting these into practise in the chalets. Although these measures are simple ones they are based on government advice, and are designed to protect the safety of our guests and our team so we would ask everyone to willingly comply with them.
- On arrival at the chalet after travel we will ask you to wash your hands thoroughly before settling in
- On arrival at the chalet after travel we will ask you to clean the high frequency areas on the outside of your luggage, hand luggage, shoes etc with antibac wipes. Chalet staff will be on hand with antibac wipes and will be happy to assist with this if you would like.
- During your stay we will ask you to thoroughly wash your hands each time you return to the chalet (eg after skiing). This request will also be in place for staff, suppliers and visitors and a notice to this effect will be displayed at the entrance to your chalet.
- During your stay we will ask you to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue if you cough or sneeze – tissues are available in all of our chalets.
- Should you become unwell with coronavirus symptoms whilst in one of our chalets please contact me immediately so I can signpost you to French medical advice.
Although we are putting these proceedures into place as a precautionary measure, I do want to reassure you that the chance of an infection remains low. There has been no confirmed case of coronavirus in the La Plagne area and the slopes, shops, bars, restaurants etc are all open as normal. The advice from both French and UK government is to continue as normal unless you feel ill, whilst taking additional hygiene measures similar to those above.
With many thanks for your co-operation.
Best Wishes,
Johanna (company director)
