FAQs

At Ice and Fire we do everything to make your holiday as smooth and easy as possible. We have answered the most common questions we get from you. Don’t hesitate to get in touch should you have other questions!

About your travel

Do you provide flights and transport to resort?

We want you to have the flexibility to book the travel options that suit you best.

Flights and transfers aren’t included in your Ice and Fire booking but we are here to assist wherever possible.

Do I need a visa?

If you are an EU passport holder you do not need a visa to enter France.

Due to Brexit, if you are a non-EU national you will get a passport stamp at the airport on arrival allowing you to stay on holiday for 90 days in a 180 day period. You can check with the French embassy prior to booking.

When is the best time of year to travel?

Paradiski is open from mid December to the end of April each year and you can see prices and availability on our chalet pages. If you have the flexibility to travel on any dates we would recommend that you choose January or March dates. Traveling outside the peak school holiday dates typically offers quieter pistes and fewer queues.

About your stay

Do you cater for vegetarians, food allergies and other specialist food requirements?

We certainly do! Let us know all your dietary needs before you arrive in resort. We invite you to use your My Chalet Booking account to list any specific needs.

Do you have set check in and check out times?

As with most holiday accommodation we have a check in and out times.

Check in: 4.00pm
Check out: 10.00am

If you are planning on arriving before check in or departing after check out, then we can store your luggage at the chalet however the chalet and its facilities will not be available for use.

Please contact us to arrange this prior to arrival.

Are lift passes, ski hire and ski school included?

Lift passes, ski hire and ski school are not included in the price of your holiday but we can be pre-order everything on your behalf before you arrive.

Please note that lift passes must be booked at least 4 days before you travel so that we have sufficient time to collect them for you.

Is the complimentary bar unlimited?

We offer beer, wine and soft drinks in the complimentary bar throughout your holiday. We don’t limit this on a per person basis and within reason you can help yourselves as and when you wish.

The complimentary bar may be restricted at our discretion in certain cases.

Please drink responsibly!

What footwear should I bring to wear in the chalet?

You can wear slippers or socks in the chalet – whichever you feel is most comfortable. Some of our chalets have underfloor heating.

We do ask you to leave outdoor shoes in the entrance hall to help keep the chalet clean and dry.

Do you supply hairdryers in the chalets?

Yes, hairdryers are available.

Are the chalets and ski area suitable for children?

As a family friendly company we have picked all the Ice and Fire chalets with this in mind. Kids are welcome!

Ski schools, beginner areas and nanny services are just part of our criteria for choosing chalets. We also look at the distance to slopes and general suitability of ski area to make sure that all levels of skier are catered for.

About your booking and payment

How can I pay my deposit and final balance?

We accept payment by bank transfer and debit card.

Why do you offer 5 nights catered not 6?

We changed our standard package from 6 nights catering to 5 nights back in 2018.

The reason for this change was to enable us to better comply with industry norms; to ensure that our staff package remains attractive and fair; and to enable us to continue providing cost effective holidays.

The chalet team will typically have Wednesday and Friday off most weeks. On those days your hosts will leave a continental breakfast and afternoon tea out. On those evenings you can choose to get a takeaway/meal delivery or to go out for dinner.

Our team can certainly recommend a suitable restaurant for you, and make a reservation if you would like.
