Ice and Fire will be operating our stunning chalet Flocon during the peak summer months of July and August 2024
With hot weather and stunning views, the village resort of Les Coches is a great place for a summer break. During the summer both Les Coches and Montchavin are fully open with bars, restaurants, swimming pool, spa, hiking, biking and many other summer activities.
During the summer Chalet Flocon is offered on a self-catered basis with linen, towels and a welcome pack included as standard. All of our great chalet facilities are still available so you can sit back and relax with a book on the balcony.
We cater for everyone looking for adventure or simply looking for a beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the Alps in the Summer.
Our summer price is £180pp per week during July and August. For shorter stays please contact us for a price.
The chalet sleeps up to 16 with a minimum group number of 6. Minimum 2-night stay.

Summer Activities in Les Coches, La Plagne and Paradiski
Mountain Biking
The Paradiski area gives mountain bikers access to over 300kms of great trails including loads of downhill and single-track trails through the woods.
Les Coches is located near Vanoise Express, the cable car that connects La Plagne to Les Arcs, meaning that you are in a great position to explore the entire area.
Whether you’re a beginner or ready to progress to something more challenging, local activity providers Evolution 2 offer both mountain bike and e-bike guided rides.
Road Biking
Les Coches has some of the best road cycling in the world on our doorstep.
Cycle direct from our doorstep to some of the best loved Tour de France routes including the Cormet de Roseland, Col d’Iseran and Col du Petit St Bernard.
Walking and Hiking
With breathtaking views, interesting wildlife and some fabulous trails of all levels, hiking in the mountains is a great experience. Walking maps will be available in your chalet, and foot paths around Les Coches are well signposted. Guided walks are available to book, and there are some lovely lunch stops open across the mountains.
Fancy something a little bit different? Evolution 2 offer some interesting husky experiences where you can hike with these interesting working dogs.
Other Activities
The alps are a paradise for adventurous activity lovers. From rock climbing to quads; from paragliding to helicopter rides, there is something for everyone. The river which runs in the valley floor between Bourg St Maurice and Aime is even perfect for white water rafting.
If you prefer something a little more gentle then why not check out the 18 hole golf course in Les Arcs with a view of Mont Blanc or try a yoga class on your balcony at sunset?
Monchavin also has a lovely spa/swimming pool that is very enjoyable way to spend your afternoon.
What’s Nearby
The two closest towns to Les Coches are Aime and Bourg St Maurice – both less than half an hour away.
Aime is a picturesque alpine town with some lovely restaurants and bars. There are also many shops to have a look in and on those sunny days there is a lovely little ice cream parlour. There is a local market each Thursday afternoon and free live music in the outdoor theatre on Thursday evenings
Bourg St Maurice is a bigger town which offers bars, restaurants and a local produce food market on every Saturday. There are also traditional French patisseries where you will find amazing French bread and even better cakes. Bourg St Maurice offers a lovely big play park and woodlands; bike park and pump track; crazy golf; swimming pool and a funicular railway to take you up to Les Arcs. Throughout the summer there is a night market and free live music on a Wednesday evening.
Situated between Bourg and Aime is the Plan D’Eau lake. The lake has a beach, playground, basketball court, restaurant, bar and a selection of activities each summer including trampolines, kayaks and zorbs. It’s a great place for sunbathing, picnics and relaxing.
